Newsroom experience, in service of climate stories.
NextClimate Media is a video-first media consultancy founded by journalist Chetan Bhattacharji. We help climate organisations tell their own stories.
NextClimate Media is a B2B, video-first media and communications consultancy. We work with researchers, think tanks, NGOs, businesses, start-ups, funders and government agencies on climate, air quality and sustainability. We are based in Delhi, India, and began in 2026.
Why we started
After nearly three decades in newsrooms, our founder saw the same problem across the sector, from scientists to start-ups: strong science and real solutions that too few people were hearing about. NextClimate Media exists to change that.
Vision
The world is warming at a faster rate, and India is particularly vulnerable. Several climate change adaptation and mitigation solutions already exist, but these are often lost in a fragmented, chaotic media landscape. The scientists, businesses and communities behind these solutions need to own and voice their own stories, rather than have them lost or diluted elsewhere.
Mission
Making your media Watchable, Listenable, Readable.
Bringing a video-first focus to empower scientists, businesses and communities to improve their storytelling in today’s media.

Our values
Evidence leads
Science has the solutions. Our job is to make sure the evidence gets heard, not lost.
Out of the silos
Climate stories should not stay among specialists. They belong in everyday conversation and in the main news.
You own your story
No agency should speak for you. We build your team’s capacity to tell it themselves.
How we work: Every review and approval has a deadline, agreed at the start. That keeps the work moving and the cost predictable for both sides.

Organisations our founder has worked with
Start-ups, media firms, research organisations, NGOs, funders and platforms that incubate entrepreneurs.

NextClimate Media (NCM) is a B2B, video-first media and communications consultancy for organisations working on climate, air quality and sustainability, based in India. We help you tell your story better: watchable, listenable, readable, and in this AI age, searchable so your work reaches the people it is meant for.
Many agencies speak for you. We help you speak for yourself. We audit how your work is seen, we measure engagement, coach your team in newsroom skills, build newsroom-like skills into your team, and produce only what you need, so the skills stay with you after our engagement ends.
It is a model which brings the core skills of a broadcast newsroom into your organisation: finding the hook, storyboarding, producing to a deadline, tracking audience metrics, and planning around your organisation’s news calendar. We set up the strategy, systems and skills, then equip your team to keep running them.
People now get much of their news, information and other content as video, on social media and on their phones. Climate stories compete there with politics, sport and entertainment. Video that is short, clear and well made helps your evidence reach audiences that reports and papers alone don’t.
No. Much of our work is rooted in India. We also work with organisations elsewhere, and audits, strategy and training can be delivered remotely.
We listen: your work, your audiences and what you want to change. If we can help, we’ll say how.
