About NextClimate Media

NextClimate Media (NCM) is a B2B, video-first media and communications consultancy for organisations working on climate, air quality and sustainability, based in India. We help you tell your story better: watchable, listenable, readable, and in this AI age, searchable so your work reaches the people it is meant for.

Many agencies speak for you. We help you speak for yourself. We audit how your work is seen, we measure engagement, coach your team in newsroom skills, build newsroom-like skills into your team, and produce only what you need, so the skills stay with you after our engagement ends.

It is a model which brings the core skills of a broadcast newsroom into your organisation: finding the hook, storyboarding, producing to a deadline, tracking audience metrics, and planning around your organisation’s news calendar. We set up the strategy, systems and skills, then equip your team to keep running them.

People now get much of their news, information and other content as video, on social media and on their phones. Climate stories compete there with politics, sport and entertainment. Video that is short, clear and well made helps your evidence reach audiences that reports and papers alone don’t.

No. Much of our work is rooted in India. We also work with organisations elsewhere, and audits, strategy and training can be delivered remotely.

We listen: your work, your audiences and what you want to change. If we can help, we’ll say how.

Services

No. We recommend the mix that fits your goals. The media audit is currently offered as part of a wider engagement.

Yes. We work alongside in-house teams to sharpen the workflow including headlines and formats, and our training builds on the skills your team already has.

Book a call to talk about your work and the people you want to reach. We start by listening: your work, your audiences and what you want to change. Then we recommend where to begin, often with a Media Audit.

How your organisation shows up across press, social media and AI answer engines. It has two parts: an editor’s assessment of your press, social media and other content as it stands today, and, in select sectors such as air quality, a weekly media monitoring report (the Triple Media Pulse report) that compares you with peer organisations.

AEO makes your work easier for AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity to find, cite and describe correctly. As more people get answers from AI instead of a list of search results, being cited there matters as much as ranking in search.

Media Audit

Organisations whose work is strong but not reaching the people it should: research institutions, think tanks, NGOs, businesses, start-ups, funders and government agencies. It is most useful before you plan your next phase or year of communications or a major event.

The major AI assistants and answer engines your audiences use, such as ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity.

It depends on the scope: how many channels, peers and topics we cover. We agree on the timeline at the start, and every review and approval has a deadline, so the work doesn’t drift. Weekly monitoring arrives by around Wednesday after each week ends.

No. The audit is built from public sources: press coverage, your public social media channels and AI answer engines. If you choose to share internal analytics, we can use them to add depth.

Peer organisations working in your sector, chosen by NextClimate Media.

Triple Media Pulse report

A media monitoring report that shows how your organisation appears in press, on social media and in AI answer engines, compared with peer organisations. Monthly and quarterly reports track the trend. It is available in select sectors, starting with air quality.

No. Each report covers one week, Monday to Sunday, and monthly and quarterly reports show the trend.

It depends on how many channels, peers and topics are in scope. We agree the timeline at the start and keep to defined turnaround windows at each review point.

Training & Strategy

Anyone who speaks for your organisation, such as scientists, founders and directors, and the communications team that produces your content.

Yes. That is the point of Newsroom-as-a-Service: the useful habits of a newsroom, from finding the hook to storyboarding and producing to a deadline, are built into your team so they keep running after our engagement ends.

Yes. Video is at the centre of our training: from the brief for a video, to storyboarding, shooting and editing to a deadline, reviews before it is posted, so your team makes content people don’t just view but engage with – like, share, comment and so on.

Yes. It starts from an assessment of your current content and, where available, your media monitoring reports.

Yes. We build content calendars around key events, so your content is ready when audiences are paying attention.

Yes. We offer mentoring and leadership coaching, including executive media training for the people who speak for your organisation.

It depends on your team and goals. Programmes range from focused workshops to longer engagements with follow-up mentoring. We agree on the format and timeline before we start.

Production

Yes. Production is an optional add-on. Each service – audit, strategy, and production – works on its own, and they also work well together.

Yes. We can work with your in-house video team via your manager in charge, make the content directly, or work alongside your in-house video team to sharpen hooks, headlines and formats.

YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and X, in long-form video, Shorts and Reels, plus podcasts, newsletters and blogs.

We start with editorial strategy and training, so your team can host, record, write, edit and publish. Where needed, we produce them too.

Soundbites, B-roll and data visualisation, packaged so journalists and content creators can use them with minimum effort and quick turnaround in their own coverage. It is also called a video news release (VNR).

Wherever the story is: in the field, at events, in labs and in your offices. Tell us where you need us and we’ll plan the shoot around it.

Every engagement is priced to its scope: the services, how long it runs and your team’s size. We quote once the scope is agreed. Planning a budget or grant proposal? Ask us for an indicative range.
